I am a 64-year-old Reiki master. I am diligent about giving myself
Reiki every day. I also take nutritional supplements, exercise daily
(walking, tai chi and yoga), meditate and do affirmations. Until recently, those
practices have allowed me to maintain optimum physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual health. But about three months ago I developed a pinched nerve,
caused by compression of the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae. Compensating
for that discomfort caused the muscles of my left shoulder and back to
spasm, all of which has resulted in tingling and numbness in the fingers of
my left hand, in addition to back and neck pain.
Even though there are a physical reasons underlying these problems, I
believe they have been exacerbated by the ongoing stress I have been under
as well my giving myself negative feedback, such as "she [someone I am close
to] has gotten on my last nerve," "I'm carrying the weight of the world on
my shoulders," etc. In any event, for the last few weeks I have been
getting chiropractic adjustments and deep tissue massages, both of which have
helped. Additionally, Chris Tia Cummings has done two amazing
healings/attunements on me, both of which have given more immediate
relief than anything else I've tried. During the second attunement, she opened
my angel wings, which, interestingly, reside in the same place as one of
the most persistent muscle spasms. That muscle released during the attunement and has not caused any further discomfort. I will continue with the chiropractic treatments, but the relief from constant pain which I have
enjoyed as a result of the work Chris Tia has done on me is absolutely
awesome. I no longer even feel the need for massage therapy.
