Union Mission has been offering those who are living with or at risk HIV/AIDS the opportunity to make Savannah Peace Tiles. Our goal with the finished work is to help raise awareness about the realities of living with this disease. This Grassroots Arts program is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly and administered by the City of Savannah's Dept. of Cultural Affairs. GCA is a Partner Agency of the National Endowments for the Arts. I was lead artist on this project and recieved an artist stipen for my time. I was responsible for final selection of works that were hung in gallery. The show was met with great success and awareness was acheived.
